A message from Owen

Alex was a friend to me for ten years or more. His warmth, his kindness, his easy manner - made him the sort of friend I was always glad to see.

I am full of regret that I did little to nurture our friendship. Life seemed to be pushing us in different directions. Last year was a terrible year for many people, and one in which I personally reached new depths of hopeleness. Looking back now I can see how trivial was my despair, trivial and selfish, when one of my valued friends was going through something much worse.

It`s strange how dramatically despair can turn to joy. Now I am living in Japan with my fiance and life and happiness seem possible again.

Now I can think back, and remember clearly the good times spent with Alex. When I think of him, in my heart I shall always feel his presence .

Good bye Alex, goodbye dear friend...
